gone

berries coming in, it’s another season
but you have to move on, life never gives a reason.

once again say goodbye to your dreams which are broken
in a land of such hope, in you reality awoken.

you have lost so much, in a life filled with sorrow
but pick yourself up there’s always tomorrow.

you toil to clean up the wreckage of your past
another broken promise, it was never meant to last.

goodbye sweet evaleen, you taught me how to love
i feel your presence with me always, watching from above.

oh, but Keegan, you were the light of my last days
your smile and hugs so tight, drove away the haze.

i’ll never sleep, lest i forget my beautiful son
feeling that jagged pain, until my useless life is done.

get over it they say, with such disgust to me
silently I pray to any god, please hear my plea!

reunite me with my precious son, i fervently pray
not another life lost and alone to face a future dark day.

goodbye my sweet children, who i love with all i possess
my love with you always, i could give you nothing less.
