Got Hangin' Off The Side Bed Blues

bysusansnow©

Saw a pinwheel in the sky last night. A tiger too. The circus is in town. The card reader was forty miles up the road listening to the radio. The levee ended. Water is deceptive. Someone gave up the nine of hearts. I want to text her and say, can I keep it? I had it all along but made a choice to sell. I got fired. I don't like the people I'm supposed to. I despise with ringmaster fervor. On my way out, another man offered to take me East with Carnival. I've been everywhere, man. Everywhere.
