Oh Grandfather sea rock me to sleep
Comfort my soul in your undulating arms
With the rise and fall of your familiar body
You send me into sweet repose

Your loving reverie
The sound of your wet pitch
I could slumber here forever
In the blackness of this watery night

Spellbound by the refulgent glow
From the surface of your billowy gleam
I find myself fully embraced in a blanket
Made of the most resplendent stars

Textured ripples line your face
Tokens of your long intricate life
Carved slowly through all the years
By the hands of every joy and pain

I wonder curiously at your resolution
Through storms and turbulence
Through the deepest trenches
What is your secret to this velvety quietude

I long to give a gift so pure
To provide such pleasure to anyone who wishes
A gentle rocking, a violent show
A view that astounds or simple solitude

I can almost feel his wrinkled skin through your description. This is was so intelligently written while remaining heartfelt and deep. Please keep writing.
