It is in the moments of great
That we find our truest joys
What reason our existence
If not for in the greatness
Of the moment spent?
With others perhaps
Or alone; alone yet not
For in our aloneness
Are we not joined by the core
Of our lives; the energy
Of our souls and the beating
Of our heart-sounds?

Great moments found
Around us always; daily
That is what matters
What counts each for us all
Fleeting yes but arriving ever
New moments; great
Still or greater they might be
One compared to the next
Stop; hold them
Take a mind’s picture
Retain the memory of the great
Store it and rejoice in its happening

A crimson sunset; reds, oranges
All aflame with fiery glow
The arms of a friend, reaching
Out with love; holding strong
Lovers journeying; vows shared
Hearts joining forever as one-
Greatness all around us…
Babies born, mountains climbed
Money earned, battles won
Illness cured, freedom gained
All monumental for a life lived
If only just for those great moments…

aweful

the usual highschoolish pablum lacking orginality and anything anyone might call interesting or entertaining or creative -- but whatever floats yer boat
