I guarded my heart for fear of rejection, and yet
He made me think I could trust in him.
I should have trusted myself and walked away,
Walked away from the false hope and romantic musings.
Instead I sit here typing, trying to forget, so I can begin dreaming,
Dreaming of the next Mr. Right to cross my path.
