Your emotional claws had a hold on me
Dragging me down into your darkness
Slowly dying, a spirit needing to be set free
I say no more, for now I am back
Spirit high and faith in life
Now only scars remain on my silky back
I can now see the light shines in me
The beautiful colors that life has for me
I wish you peace, affection and love
But where you'll find it I cannot see
Take care, remember I will always be there
But never again in your claws of despair.
