There is a place between heaven and hell
An endless time that I know well
A void so vast, with no future, no past
And in this place I dwell

My heart was taken just at its’ birth,
A heart just learning to love
My Soul mate torn from this earth
As if my hand being slipped from its' glove

A soul that once was surely blessed
Knew love and knew loves’ favors
Hungry now for the taste of life
Left with a tongue that has no flavor

Cursed with a life lived in emptiness,
Wandering an empty space,
My body left without its’ face
An empty soul with out a trace.

My soul bound now, to this earth
Like a fowl, caught in a snare
Robbed of its song, robbed of its’ wings
Both kept from the air

Powerless to solve its’ plight
Without a song, without sight
Given up no will to fight

Happenstance did find that fowl
And Happenstance let loose a howl
“What injustice be,”
Liberator he, set that creature free

Soaring now on a new found wind
Learning how to soar again
Hope reborn, to climb above the storm
Leaving behind a future grim

Calling back to Happenstance
“Your payment due for this freedom found.”
That fowl he does decree
And a journey begins as if his destiny

           Guided by an unseen light
That fowl does take a mystic flight
A quest to solve this mystery
Taking back from history
This wrong to be made right

A soul to collect as payment due
From a fate that was not earned
A heart to heal, a page to seal
That soul will be returned

And with it brings a heart that sings
Though its’ saviors strife unknown
Delivers he this life to be
To a tender vessel not yet grown

Sara she that vessel be
With her fate still unfulfilled
Returned to Earth, She is given birth
Her destiny, by the gods that be, is willed

The world turns and a revolution makes
Thunder rolls and the heavens shake
Liberator lifts up his head,
A man awakening from the dead

Just as the lightning bolts
Time suspended by the jolt
The gods agree to let him see
Liberator is reborn

And in the light from that lightning strike
His soul is being mended
Fabric that once was torn
Is now being tended

The years that past since he saw her last
Rush by in glimpse and glances
Memories of the past
Stolen dreams and untaken chances

In that heavenly light, that filled up that night
Happenstance stands and stares
Recognizes her there, her golden hair
As his heart refills with love
And his soul slips on its' glove.
