“Stop here, I’ve happiness for sell today,”
Cried the street man on the corner.
“A pound or two, well worth the price,
Stop, Look and See, and throw the Dice.”

A lonely lady walking by said,
“Well, why not, it’s worth a try”.
Slowly then she picked up both die,
And with a prayer, she let them fly.

Not once, but twice, she threw the dice,
And each time came up empty-handed.
It was then she looked into his eyes,
And realized yes, he had told her lies.

Turning then, she walked away
But stopped in time to hear him say
To some one else with pounds to pay,
“Stop here, I’ve happiness for sell today.”

An old fisherman fresh from the bay
Thought he’d try his luck that day,
But the lonely lady did not stay,
She knew which way the dice would play.
