Click hereHave you ever lived my life?
Spent one minute in my shoes?
Please just tell me....
Why do you judge me as you do?
Have you ever seen your friend get shot
Outside his favourite store?
Watched in silence another friend die,
From drugs he'd never used before?
Have you ever thought,
That life would be better if you were gone?
But tried to live it all the same,
As if nothing was wrong?
Have you ever seen someone die,
From being messed up on too much booze?
Ever had an unwanted pregnancy,
Forcing you to choose?
Have you ever looked up at the stars,
Hoping god will hear?
Watched a loved one drive away,
After way too many beers?
Ever tried to cut,
All of your pain away?
The red blood stains,
Never making anything the same.
Have you ever gone hungry,
Knowing that nobody really cared?
The pit that grows inside,
Is the only ever-lasting clear?
So, do you think you've lived my lived my life?
Spent one minute in my shoes?
If not, then maybe you should think.
Why you treat others as you do.
...in that this is the author's adaptation of an already existing poem. Lines are sampled, but this is the author/narrator's voice, emotion and experiences. But there is a slightly similar poem out there. More inspirational than biographical.
I don't know,

if you stole.

I don't know,

if they stole.

I just know,

that I've read this before.

Yes, that was an aweful attempt at poetry. But I swear I've read this before, and I loved it. I don't know if you plagerized or the published one pagerized, I'm sure I saw it before.
