I’ve heard the crack of thunder and seen the look of glee in Thor’s face because he’s pleased with his handiwork.
The Moriae have given me glimpses of the skein through the tarot because the Fates find amusement in the lack of understanding in mortals.
I’ve felt physical pain from a spiritual brand as I was marked by a trickster who guards the gates between the worlds because Mannanan sought to offer me wisdom.
The Earth has held me to her bosom giving me life and care, letting the thrum of her heart beat support the thrum of mine because I am a Childe of Gaea.
Have you ever seen a man one minute and a god the next?
I’ve seen the eyes of the Dagdha Mhor through the eyes of my lover glinting with lust as he takes the pleasure through the flesh because he showed me how to enjoy.
I’ve looked through the eyes of Freya and felt the purr of a cat escape my throat as I writhe upon my lover, because she showed me it was okay to indulge in myself.
I’ve heard the laughter of Bran as I’m given advice from the skull as my heart brother guides me true along my path in this life.
I’ve seen the dancing form of Jizo as he protects the children and women and guides the travelers; I’ve followed him and felt his protective comfort.
I’ve locked eyes with the one-eyed one, and made a grin form on old Odin’s weathered face at my stubbornness to properly acknowledge him.
I’ve incurred the wrath of Loki for not walking his joker’s path more than once, for that fox does not give up easily.
I’ve been injured by a spear and flew like the solar eagle to a tree for safety feeling the pain and the blood, and the betrayal.
Have you ever seen a man one minute and a god the next?
I’ve stared at my friends and closed my eyes and beneath my lids in that place where your mind soars past your flesh and into another realm I have met the gods at the gates by the world tree the tree that connects the three worlds together.
I’ve clasped hands with Mannanan and thanked him for letting me through the gates once more without injury.
I’ve felt Thor kiss my forehead and stand behind me protecting my back from any malice.
I’ve seen the smirk of the Dagdha when I continue to offer him chocolate and the laugh of Freya when I give her some of the chocolate as well.
I’ve felt Fate weave my life into the skein, and felt a tug this way or that way through life as my thread travels through the tapestry of life on its course to end, who knows where.
I’ve felt my tears streak down my cheeks as I was surrounded by my gods and goddesses, as they took me in and begin to whisper to me some of their secrets and their wisdoms.
Have you ever seen a man one minute and a god the next?

Excellent.

Arcane mythology. I loved the repeated line, "Have you ever seen a man one minute, and a god the next?" Some portions surprised me a bit with language that did not elevate itself to the subject matter at hand. "Okay," for example, doesn't seem to fit into the mythical bulk of the poem. But it is a poem. I liked it.
