My submission was a gift
not subject to a trial period
not an exploratory experiment
not a lending library book
with a late due date
not a child to be exploited
or a new drug to be anointed

The value of your dominance
didn't lie in an excruciating rape scene
or dragging me by a lead
to do your every dirty deed.
It lay here instead:
you secured my collar eagerly
but when you packed your bag
you took it back

Our time was a contract
penned in invisible ink
blinded by a photo of you
younger than you think
deceptive, cruel heart
I'll never understand your art
an art it is,
clever, evil, vindictive

Yous is a world of words, hastily scribbled
lyrics to your songs of woe
an ephemeral emphasis
a fantasy existence
promises made of dust
with bouts of temporary lust
but where was the trust, my love
you gave me no reason to trust.

I'm not into Dom Sub writing, but you have risen to the challenge by giving the reader more than the usual two dimensional experience. Nicely done.
