Heart strings twang, pang,
simple this pain,
that shears the heart,
how long that we have been apart?

All the precious lies,
those oh-so-sweet lullabyes,
so many things untasted,
so much left, wasted,
so many stops and starts,
but our evil minds,
had already quaterized our hearts,

Remember that night?
your 6-inch heels broke,
and you came crashing,
crashing back down to earth.
Humbled, tears causing flooding rivers,
on a cold face dry,
the earth held no beauty for you,
that night of our last goodbye.
