Heart Thaw
©copyright protected, The WingSong Collection

It was Spring in the middle of his years
When the Sun shone warm
Whose loving rays were hers
That melted the ice imprisoning his heart.
Slowly at first only around the edges
And then the ice gave way completely.
The flood of unfrozen feelings
Washing away the wasteful fear
Rendering his heart ready
For all her loving rays forever.
