I know all about that.
Hearts hungry for love,
and the like thinking of.

Words fly at light speed,
filling a yearning need.
The distant longing
giving a sense of belonging.

Hearts once filled with desire,
burning like fire.
Chilled by the distance,
reality abates attraction's existence.

Soon interests fade,
following roles played.
Feelings left sore,
loving no more.

Hearts end up hurting,
simple relief averting.
How hard it is to take
the frequent heart break

Reality soon takes hold,
and often I've been told,
I'm here and you're there
which is so unfair.

The fantasy world, so unreal; how can a purely on-line romance result in heartbreak, when there's never any commitment?

unreal

Virtual realities slamming against reality ~ just made for someone who wants heartbreak.
