To all -a Merry Yorkshire Christmas
*
Hell, its Christmas, I should be down and depressed,
But still I wont let you get my best.
There’ll be quiet moments of deep, deep thinking
But I’m buggered if your gonna make Christmas stinking
I’m going to enjoy it, most of the time,
So im fighting against you, in this little rhyme.
I’m putting you out the way, in a box that I found,
Your pictures, my memories, sights, smells and sound.
A new year without you will hurt most of all,
But I’m fighting to get the better, and forget it all.
I’m gonna paint a false smile, across my face
Gonna get up and re join the human race
Move on, get better and feel happy with just me,
Put myself out there for the whole world to see.
Make my self believe that everything’s fine,
Believe I can find true love a second time.
Get up, get on, get over, get free,
Concentrate just purely and solely on me.
But You know don't you, you still have me hooked
Who am I kidding, no one… I’ve looked.
