I wonder
what it is with her,
who you are when
you smile her way,
when your eyes
fall
on her body,
naked,
in your bed.

I wonder
if you think of me,
remember me,
when you are
with her.
do I still live
in your heart
when your heart
is with her?

Why do we do that to ourselves?

Damn if I know, but I do know that we just can't stop ourselves at times. A very evocative write of those times.

Wow

I just simply don't have the words to say how much this poem strikes me. It is wonderful. There really are too many emotions going through me now to comment furter. I think that's the purest type of poetry, one that can move another so profoundly.

I so very wish...

...this did not resonate with me the way it does right now...

I really love

your poems, SJ. These are the questions I want to ask and never can, never would get an answer if I did - I can totally identify, although my bitterness is less eloquent than yours. Terrific work! LJ
