What is it about her man's shirt
That makes a woman look so damn sexy
Bare legs from under the shirt tales
The shirt maybe not even buttoned

You expect nothing else underneath it
It makes her look smaller and sweet
And you suspect that she likes to wear it
Because it's like she is wrapped up in you

Last night she spent hours getting ready
Looked stunning in that black lacy dress
With perfect hair, perfect makeup,
happy smile at the look on my face

Later in her new lingerie
Purchased only to make me go crazy
Those legs – oh, those legs- in black nylons
And garters, walked slowly toward me

But then there I was in her kitchen
Figuring out her new coffee machine
To make her a cup to wake up with
When I heard her low sexy laugh

She wore just my big flannel shirt
And was hugging herself in the doorway.
Hair mussed, sleepy eyes, sleepy smile
And I knew that the coffee could wait

Exotic

Yes, yes and yes: women in shirts (and nothing else) are exotic. Loved it all, Oldbear, except for "shirt tales" which jarred. Tails, I believe.

I read this after having read Trixareforkids' poem and I am thrilled by how a good love poem can give birth to another good love poem. Umberto Eco said, "Many books just talk about other books". Was he not right?

Thank you both

5ed both!

i cant believd i missed this

Thanks trix for the highlight,

The sentiment in this is beautiful but I think you could make it far better with some cleaning up and cutting back,

Could cut

The shirt Maybe not even buttoned and not hurt the central theme.

Ah, yes. There is something about women in men's shirts, isn't there? Very nice scene. :)
