Why don't you love me anymore?
Sitting high on your pedestal,
Are you never lonely?

I call to you, and once you answered,
Can you hear my voice no longer?
Have my words become dust to your ears?

Cold in Winter, and in Summer,
Rimmed in ivory frost you circle,
Hungry predator, ever patient...

Serenaded at dawn and twilight,
Beloved in your cyclic shifting,
How can you conceive betrayal?

You, who are too cold for mercy,
(Nightingales fall dead, frozen,
Trying to reach your bejeweled feet).

Do you care nothing of sacrifice?
Perhaps you only watch, uncaring,
Content in your monthly rhythm.

Your icy stare cuts me thrice,
Bleeding freely, I love you still,
Your indifferent face framed by night.
