Seasons come and seasons go
Ocean tides, they ebb and flow
Here, like you, then gone too soon,
Drawn by the pull of the moon

Stars shine bright in darkened skies
Reflected in your darkened eyes
They, like you, are gone too soon
Drawn by the pull of the moon

What hold upon your heart it has
That love so strong could wax, then wane
I cannot see, I looked too long.
Only I remain.

This heart too dry, it can’t absorb
This glowing, luminescent orb
This lunatic must rage and swoon
Drawn by the pull of the moon

All light and life must pass away
Born then, for a moment, stay
It, like you, is gone too soon
Drawn by the pull of the moon.
