Pointlessly hiding
beneath the bed
as footsteps halt.
Silence is deafening
as doorknob squeaks.
All breath is lost,
tugged out in naked shame.
Her innocence snatched
as child learns the stench
and wicked taste,
of mans uncontrolled urges.

Excellent!

Written in crisp, harsh language that bites, and fits perfectly with the poem's theme.
