That’s me in the shadows:
the ghost of a grin,
eyes closed trying to deny
that you want to capture me
forever.
The moment between us
held in limbo
by metal and glass.

Do you see it now?
Do you remember
the way I laughed at you,
the way I looked at you
as you stood
in the middle of the road
to catch the height and angle
just right?
Such patience in your lens,
such focus in your eye
as you saw beauty
in the boldness of design.

That’s me in the shadows,
hiding my face now,
concealing my flaws,
because you saw the beauty in objects,
but not in me.
What did you see
when you caught
that moment,
when you caught me
smiling at you with love?

Bigger and better and Deeper

Than any lens, or camera. This stuns, in the way a few humane pics do

hidden smile.

Illustrated drawing of a woman in the shadows tends to reveal the meaning of this ethereal rendering. Very sweet and passionate.

Very Powerful

I loved the writing all the way through, but the question at the end knocked me on my but and knocked all the wind out of me...
