I am eaten in kisses
consumed by pressed lips
flesh that slips between
teeth and fingers
to eat to feed
from one breath
stolen from lungs
into trembling
tired body
weary, weary we become
the incline slow
our machine pulled up
through atmosphere
into stars I can't see
through t[w]o days of Winter
one half moves forward
one half sleeps

Scientist says, "You've got to get below the surface!"
"It's warm and wet, evidence for life in the coldest places."

between dead elements
is waiting for
a spark
of life to make the physical
move again

A very interesting poem

I enjoyed this, lily; a very well-phrased and clever poem.
