laughter, love and hope
have been abandoned
with one strong swing
He wields the hammer
to break her and know her
and delve into her abyss
in the tree of her heart
the branches go limp
as He calls on her fears
to release them again
a symphony of tears
and sobs fill the air
her heart leaps in shock
under the pain of growth
His brazen words break
down a mountain of fear
'tis the formula He knows
to revive her cadaverous soul
she has been broken
through tears she is whole
He reaches within, burning
His autograph on her soul
