His Song

His fingers are strumming
those old guitar strings,
and as he plays, the story
of his heart begins to unfold.

He had been with many
but only loved a few.
Now sometimes he wishes,
he had done some things differently.

Hearts can break and sometimes
never fully recover. Time goes by
and the wounds heal. But the scars
remain to hauntingly remind him.
