Daylight wants to hold you
soothing motes of ribboned light
falling through eternal ghosts
shredded, shifted, softened errors
memory’s faux pas forgiven for
transgressions
Nothing’s truly broken when
daylight wants to hold you
smiling for shivered moments, tense
decapitate your ghouls and burn
your bones for dusting air
to breathe you in surprise
Essence, no

Many lovely lines in this one, like: "decapitate your ghouls and burn your bones for dusting air." Not only lovely but something fresh instead of the same old same old.
