Maybe the pain will heal my soul;
Cleanse me, make me whole.

Or maybe it'll drive it deeper,
'Til I'm no longer my mind's own keeper.

All I have to do is ignore it and it all stops,
Right until I forget to turn the locks.

It all escapes and floods my head;
Can't eat to live, can't lie down dead.

Save me from myself today:
Make me stay happy, keep them all at bay.

All the horrid visions of greener grass;
They'll lure me away if you don't hold fast.

I'll try to stay and be content:
I just hope all my love hasn't already been spent.
