You hold my heart in you hands,
She whispers to him one night,
He looks at her and smiles,
Letting her know everything’s okay,

She wants him to love her back,
He finds it hard to say the words,
Because of everything in his past,
But she still needs to hear them,

She turns her back on him,
Her confusion is so obvious,
She wants him to say the words,
Doesn’t he understand?

Her confusion turns to anger,
The words he never speaks haunt her,
Would I be happy if id never said it?
She thinks to herself,

But one day she’s given in,
She’s ready to leave,
It’s finally over; she can’t do it anymore,
Just as she’s about to leave,

He looks at her and smiles,
You hold my heart in your hands,
He finally says and she smiles,
I wont break it she says.
