You've never looked half so good to me,
As you do on this night of nights.
Lying there barefoot in faded blue Levis,
And that crisp, white cotton blouse.
Wearing your well-earned Masters degree,
From the Uni of life and hard knocks.
Your M.A. in understated sexuality.

- - - - - - - - - - -

You were tired when you got home from work my love,
A long day spent with your horses,
So you had a shower while I made the meal,
A plate of Spag. Bol, hot and steaming.
With garlic, tomatoes and Parmesan cheese.
It went down a treat, though I say it myself,
With the Montepulciano Red.

- - - - - - - - - - -

Two empty plates now sit on the table,
But the bottle now lies on the floor.
You and I lie close on the sofa, and I think
You've never looked half so good to me,
As you do on this night of nights.
Lying here barefoot in faded blue Levis,
And that crisp, white cotton blouse.

The T.V.'s switched on in the corner,
Though why I really don't know.
You're asleep, with your head on my shoulder,
And my eyes are only for you.
Your eyes are closed, your breathing is slow.
And I feel in you now such trust and belief,
That I feared I never would find.

- - - - - - - - - - - - -

And you only did up half the buttons,
Down the front of that white, cotton blouse.
So I could see something, but never see all,
Full frontal was never your style.
I catch just a glimpse as your breasts rise and fall,
It's enough to make my heart sigh,
As I whisper your name to the star-strewn sky.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

For I know that when I run my finger,
Round the waist of those faded blue jeans,
I'll find that you're wearing no knickers,
Only we two know what that means.
I yearn to reach out with my fingers,
To the nipples I see through your blouse.
But I know if I do, this moment will die.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

It may be one moment in an ocean of time,
But this moment is precious to me.
The love that I feel as I gaze at your face,
Fills my soul with a lifetime of peace.
So I watch over you, like an angel on high,
Holding on to this moment with passionate joy.
Holding on to you. My love.

I loved it

You can feel the pull and the push throughout it.... its there in a moment and then it just quietly sits and waits for you to come back to where it is.

Always, Lizzy
