Hollow Heart
Jack Green
Can I be your revenging angel?
Can I be an emotional door?
Can I stagger along, drunken sword
Swinging through a sea of bitter enemies?
For now my heart is truly hollow
For now my lungs, breathing only death
For now my fantasies are darker
Than any nightmare you would dare
conceive
Call me dead man
Call me hollow heart
Call me dead man
Call me torn apart
Can I be your still ringing hammer?
Can I be quiet lucid dreamer?
Can I weep with you, in all my shame,
As you cry when you are thinking about
me?
For now, you know my will is shallow
For now, I’ve made you feel some sorrow
For now I’ve hurt you so much more than
Any daggers of a heartless enemy
Call me dead man
Call me rotten corpse
Call me dead man
Call me no remorse
Though you feel hurt today, do not fear
It will fade as you forget and the last of my life
Drains away
