It’s been a long day of falling
can you catch me again?
The road is long and hollow
and it begs for a friend.
Endless ways of hiding in
this bitter and empty waste.
Is sanity waiting for me
at the end of this race?
It’s there around the next turn
but miles and miles gone.
Can I find the voice to ask
for someone to right my wrong?
So much time spent losing ground
running down useless trails.
Just once I’d like the courage
to break these self made jails.
Sometimes I can’t help but think
that I’ll never make it whole.
Only one thought is on my mind.
I just want to come home.

Love the line,

"to break these self made jails."

Your words speak volumes here.
