I see at last -
where 'honor' lies -
the moments of friendship
  with value of heart,
the knowing of self -
  yet selfless more.

I watched the sun...
it seemed to rise over the field
  and peer through the trees
  directly into me.
The grass goes from blue-grey,
  becoming brown-green
reflecting stray flowing lines of light
  with lines of their own.

The trees - gnarl and twist and rise,
tall and small - reaching, finding
  what they seek. Touching,
living - being what we are...
as we are, as we must.
Leaves float and play -
move to sway in the light
  now day.

The sky - all the air of the world -
  moving yet still...
  its white-blue shimmer -
  surrounds, caresses, enfolds, envelops.
So sweet the taste, the scent of life -
  enters, leaves, shared by all
again and again for all of time.
Truly timeless - 'all' that truly is,
one and together a seamless whole.
  Joined and joining - flowing
as it will. Endless - thinning
  then thick, touched and touching,
  still yet moving - 'all'.

I think of 'all' - there is,
was, and yet to be. I taste
  eternity with each breath -
  sharing the 'all' I know,
all I see and hear and am
  with those that are,
  were, and yet to come.

I walk the universe
  from this chair -
this 'home' I've come to know.
One with the stars
  part of all that is...
  finally aware -
  of what 'honor' is...
  and where it lies.
