This web site and a
Thousand other things
Use the name erotic;
A word that comes
From my father, Eros
(I'm the 7th son),
The ancient Greek
God of expressed love.
Rumors have it that
My father was amischievous,
Cunning, creative gamesman
Who sometimes performed
Tricks and pranks, but
In spite of that was always
Young, seductive and beautiful.
My father, Eros, was honored
As supreme in numerous cults
And was the model of desire.
My grandmother was the goddess
of fertility, love and beauty.
Hesiod, Homer and Plato acknowledged
Her intellectual, as well as,
Sexual love. Now you know
Why I am the way I am;
I walk in my father's footsteps.
