You pass through me with the smoke from your fire,
You touch me here, there, everywhere I'm about to desire.
When will I get another chance to see you again,
You make everything in life seem as though it's fair.
Times are tough but I see a picture of you and hope,
It reminds me that you're not some fairy tale that's only spoke.
I never want to slip from this dream that's you and I,
Back into a reality of waiting for my turn among the billions to die.
A new version of you everytime I need you the most,
If I believed in God I'd say it's his version of a joke.
You make me forget I'm just a pawn in this pond of a pool called life,
So here's my tribute to this one, and everything you've done,
Even if the only time I'll ever see you was tonight.
