HOPE

Calling to her she feels Him,
although they are together no more

She still feels the pull of His bond,
and in her chamber welcomes Him openly

Regrets and hopes flit by,
touching upon a sadness
not yet healed by time

She cries out His name
He searches for her frequently.

Together as lovers once more,
hopes rise and the feelings
grow tall once more

Saddened by the wound that exists,
she stays silent,
not knowing what else to say

Realizing He still misses her,
she cries silently,
her pain drawn inward upon herself.

She knows that she is the one that has caused
Him this hurt, wishing that she could take it away

But what is done is done, and there is no going back.
Maybe one day the wound will heal, and they will be together once more, this time forever.

For now, though, there are just glimpses of feelings shared,
of sighs and intimacies known once more briefly.

United by feelings of friendship and brief passions,
kept apart by things that need to be changed

Whether He comes to her or not,
she feels Him in her soul,
residing there like a patient lover,
and she is more full in her spirit for it.

Time has helped them both to grow;
in the distance, the future tantalizes,
daring them to join their hearts completely once more….
