You touched my life
And filled it with joy.
You touched my heart
And filled it with love.
In you I found true friendship.
The joy has now turned to sorrow.
The love is now pure pain.
You left me feeling cold and empty
With a crushed heart and shattered dreams

Beautifully Simplistic

The simplicity of the words help to convey the sorrow of the poem, deeply touching the reader. It shows a brutally honest portrayal of lost love, reminding me of a past I would like to forget but am unable to...Well Done.
