Many thousands sought to find
That hope safe-harbored in their mind
Labored chronic, tasted some
To find the peach ‘midst pear and plum

‘till years had stolen fair belief
Such common sense oft’ times a thief
Sheer pinnacles of rhapsody
Sunward thrust from ‘neath the sea

How then two did catch the rhyme?
Though falling full in evening’s time
Committed now, disparate trails
To which their taken trust avails

Two touched together moments grand
Like children playing in the sand
On heavens beach beneath the sun
They laughed and melded into one

Moons surrender fat to thin
Over boredom over din
Yet, cannot tear that bond asunder
One of lightning flash and thunder

One of moist kisses soft
Holding life and soul aloft
Moments lost, sweet moments found
Forever in their psyche wound

Gaping distance prison bars
Cleave them not from twilight stars
Passion’s flaring silence rends
Together always, more than friends
