Just to see the flames,
we lit them one by one -
a joint effort needing four hands...
or maybe only two,
but we were falling in love.

Oily and dense,
the filbert's ember smoldered long.

Airy and light,
the walnut's flare smoked high.

Creamy and fine,
the almond's light shined crisp.

Astride your thighs,
I knew hot nuts would spark
and burn like solid rocket fuel...
or maybe that's only
if you are falling in love.

in the first days...

...everything is special, everything is poetic. a well done capture of that type of emotion.

~~

Love or lust

confuse the two;

but when you start

the two are one.
