House Wife

Returning home from work
I enter the living room and announce I have arrived
Absolute silence, the way it should be
Entering the bedroom and I hear the chains rattle as she stirs
I know her eyes are fixed on me but I ignore her
Exit and go make myself a drink, I return to where she is
"You may say one thing to me" I inform her
"I love you" is how she spends it
Smiling, I turn and exit the room once more and leave her with
"I know"

Intriguing. I really like the way it is set up to allow your imagination to run wild.

Way cute!

Um, not that much to say other than that. As a matter of personal preference it was a little "dry" for me with all the feelings implied rather than reified. fun little still life poem though!
