How do you tell someone you love them
When you know they love another.
How do you show them that your life is theirs
All they have to do is reach out and take it.
How do you turn and walk away
When you can feel your heart breaking.
How do you hide the pain in your eyes
When you want nothing more than to show him.
How do you keep your heart from breaking
When you know that you will never compare.
How do you accept the truth inside
When you know that he will never be yours.
How do you pull away gracefully
When you want nothing more than to stay in his embrace.

WickedEveover 15 years agoHow do you? Well, you ask that often. Why not write a poem telling the reader how. Or at least give some specific examples of how you feel, what's going, what you want, etc. In other words, move beyond this abstract poetry and give the reader something concrete. Give us some imagery. Show the reader and don't just "tell" the reader. Try the literotica poetry forum if you'd like to communicate with other poets and get some more ideas about writing poetry. I gave you 100 for writing a poem and to say Hello. :)
