Fills empty places in me
Like water between rocks
Seeping, relentless
Wearing smooth paths
Through time
No dam can control
Only withstand
For so long (how long?)
But I do not fight it
All the time
I allow myself to drift
Tossing in the swells
Lost in the tempest
I fight for air
Torn
Between the tempest
And the tempered
The Tempered Life
Of plots and plans
Control and tedium
That used to seem full
But now feels empty
