I am just a nightingale sitting in a tree,
And I sing to thee.

Sweetly and melodious, my song can be heard,
Smoothly and as swift as the wing of a hummingbird.
Serenading you, who are resting under my tree, I patiently await your notice.

I'm just a nightingale sitting in a tree, hoping against all hope that you will finally see
The unused potential and capacity to love residing in me.

Forever steadfast and true, I wait for you.
I sing my song to an audience of one, you, who are still unaware.
Waiting to be acknowledged, I will always care.

I am just a nightingale sitting in the tree,
And I will always, always sing to thee.
