yesterday morning
on my drive to work
stopped at a light
a pretty young woman in the next car
we glanced at each other, and smiled

I smiled and waved
the light changed, and off she went

walking into the office
the computer support woman passed me in the hall

later that morning
I went to check my mail in the mailroom

tv's blaring
kids screaming
"today's been hell" my wife said
