i asked god,
what is bondage?
she said:
The persistent thought that what you perceive with your senses is real.
i asked god,
what is war?
he said:
It is bondage.
i asked god,
what is family?
she said:
The three jewels, not the double strands.
i asked god
what is kin?
he said:
It is fire that warms, transforms, deforms or destroys.
i asked god
what is sin?
he said:
It is denial of your unity with all else that is.
i asked god,
what is commerce?
she said:
Exchanging what is wanted for what you want.
i asked god,
what is friendship?
he said:
It is commerce.
i asked god,
what is gender?
she said:
It is the unity of existence, expressing itself as duality on the material plane.
i asked god,
what is happiness?
he said:
It is peace, not a state of pleasure or pain.
i asked god,
what is birth, and what is death?
she said:
It is life.
i asked god
what is change?
he said:
It is samsara.
i asked god,
what is attachment?
she said:
It is fear.
i asked god,
what is fear?
he said:
It is a mirror that points to your death and shows you the path to freedom.
i asked god,
what is love?
she said:
That which sets you free.
i asked god,
who are you?
s(he) smiled, and held a mirror up to my eyes:
Then turned and walked away.
