I Believe

When I open my eyes
I expect to see you
When I close my eyes
I always see you.

I find it easy to believe
That you exist in world
At times I believe that
You were just a dream

I pray that peace will
Take my mind and
I will forget your face.

Other times I believe
That your smile will
Carry me through my life.

I believe that people
Will see that special
Person’s face when
They close their eyes
And hope beyond hope.

Will that person see
The truth in their mind
Or even with their eyes
Can we see what we
Need to believe in?

Real
I believe that she is
Near
I believe that I have
Seen the truth
I believe that I know
The truth
I believe that when
I open my eyes
I will once again
See her smiling
Face before the
Lights fade.
