I CAN'T KEEP YOU

in the beginning,
i had my eye on you -
so intense and strong,
i knew the feeling was
an incredible passion.

after time, it became old,
and too common for you
to be around.

it's like any relationship;
somebody will want you -
i did at one point...
can't help that i need
something fresh and new.

it happens...
the poem is meant to be used.

the last line is still smoldering...

and will burst into flames any minute. Thanks for your genius!!

I can't keep you...

down, can I? <grinnin'> I watched you develop this one into it's polished final form and it does indeed shine with shapely double subliminals and a nice twist at the end. You need to read this one next week at the coffee shop reading, don! <I wish I could be in the audience>. But I can't so you will just have to read this one to Me over the phone... pleeeeeeease? <wink>

split the sheets

save money, give her the bed cause the sheets won't fit and get a smaller bed <double grinin'>

hey I like your pen, and the grey matter that drives it, if ya have to put a leash on them , they don't need to be in the house <grin>
