In the park where i once dwell
i saw the boy i loved so well
he came and stole my heart from me
and now this boy has set me free
he sat a stranger on his knee
and told her things he never told me
i went home crying to my bed
not a word to my mother was said
my dad came home late that night
he searched for me left and right
he came to my door which he broke
and saw me hanging by a rope
he cried daughter dear what have you done
you killed yourself for somebodys son
he looked around and on my bed
he found a letter that had said
daddy dear dig my grave, and dig it deep
marble and stone from head to feet
and daddy dear please place a dove
to show the world
