Come and sit with me, Come and have come tea
We can talk of things if you please, Things like Socrates
We can sit in the silence of the morn, Just as the day is born
What happened to things like simplicity, And serendipity?
Life now a days is so complicated, People seem so jaded
Hate and lust, Everyone out to make a quick buck
All of this presents a question, Who is the best one?
Who is right for the job, To give back things that have been robbed?
Like the clean air, Days when our children could play with out a care
Being safe at night, With out care or fear of plight
Why is it that life has changed, So much of what we see deranged?
Who is to say if it is me or you, Even so what can we do?
Take this life in stride; Find someone to whom you can confide
Talk it out when you can, Be willing to offer your hand
Be kind to a stranger; Help those who are in danger
Heed what the wise have to say, Do when dues need to be paid
Some day you will find, That most people love to be kind
When we learn to trust, Then we can remove that age old dust
It covers good values, That we some how learned to loose
We will earn it once more, We can heal this painful sore
