I envy the Dead at times

Shut away

in their quiet Tombs of stone

Living out enternity all alone

Safe from Love's beguiling Lies.

Crypts that blot out the hateful light

and save them from a charmers tongue

To lay in the dark free from a lovers Blighted

declarations

and no longer feeling young

and trusting as the living do

the loving do

forever feel the pain

but the dead listen to the silent scurry of insects and the drips of haunting rain

shut in thier nice cozy beds of dirt and dark

and mouldering bone

Free from love and free from lust

For Desires

becomes ashes without a home

and and Love petals crumbles to dust

While lying lovers began to roam
