Click here"I did not know Him
most of my unholy life.
I did not seek Him
in times of strife.
Never did I speak His name
in all my very darkest days.
Unworthy was I to go into the house
in which they praise.
One day, a man of great faith
told me, in warning,
that my life would be a waste
without a higher purpose.
“Presently,” he said. “You have none.”
After much soul-searching
and much discussion
into my arms and into my bed
did he come.
On this night,
the things which he revealed to be
truly
made a believer of me.
For on that night, I did speak His name.
“Oh, God! Oh, God!”
Again and again.
My faith grew leaps and bounds
as we grew loud
and I
listened to the sounds
of my own voice crying out to Him
for the first time in my life.
Then again,
as I found God
not once but, twice.
