I Hear My Soul

A heart leaps up, or so I am told
To find a lover to have and hold

So is this when my life began
A mother's touch a gentle hand.

Many years and growth have passed;
Bringing goodness with loves thought to last

Finding beauty all around me
Green eyes I look through allow me to see;

Full of passion never danger,
But then I met this total stranger.

What was this light,
I feel a warm sensation.

My comfortable life, just a filler now,
My soul was waiting for him somehow.

Bright wonderful lights inside me,
Feelings I have never known before.

For the first time in my life I hear my soul
A glorious song off my tongue does roll.

A sense of birth and a new beginning
My inner self is always grinning

So THIS is when my life began,
I found my soulmate in this strange man.

Hard to miss someone that you've never had,
I now know this man as simply my Brad

I see myself as years have past,
Being alive inside, but our flesh cannot last.
